Frontline Plus Flea and Tick provides your dog and cat with the most complete spot on flea and tick protection available. Frontline Plus kills 98-100% of adult fleas on your pet within 24 hours. Frontline Plus contains a special ingredient that kills flea eggs and larvae, and keeps all stages of flea eggs from developing. Frontline Plus effectively stops the development of new fleas. Frontline Plus completely breaks the flea life cycle and, kills all life stages of major ticks including those that may transmit Lyme Disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Frontline Plus is completely waterproof. Frontline plus is only for use on pets 8 weeks old or older.
 
Frontline Plus is available as a 3 month dosage of Frontline Plus, or 6 month dosage of Frontline Plus. Each Frontline Plus applicator contains one monthly dose.

Ticks may attach to your pet prior to dying even though your pet is treated with Frontline Plus. Ticks will be killed within 24-48 hours, long before most disease transmissions. Fleas will die within 18 hours after contact with a Frontline Plus treated pet, killing most fleas prior to feeding. Frontline Plus spreads medication over a treated pets body by a process known as Translocation. When Frontline Plus is applied, Frontline Plus is gradually dispersed by the pet's natural oils, collecting in the oil glands in the skin. Frontline Plus is then slowly released onto the hair coat over the next 30 days. Frontline Plus products remain effective for 30 days, even if a dog swims or is bathed. Frontline Plus will not wash off. Do not swim or bathe the dog until the Frontline Plus translocation process has completed, this process usually takes 24 hours. Make sure your pet is completely dry before applying Frontline Plus. Frontline Plus is extremely safe and can be used while your pet is on any other medications. Frontline Plus is not systemically active and there are no known drug interactions. Since Frontline Plus is spread via the dogs skin glands it should be applied directly to the pets skin and not applied to the pets hair directly. Use Frontline Plus all year round even in the northern states.
